Create. Fulfil. Recover.

DGL Environmental provides solutions to difficult waste problems with the added environmental benefit of being able to identify commercially viable recovery and recycling options. This means normally unwanted and/or unrecoverable compounds can often be recycled and used to supplement virgin materials.

Facilitating dedicated contracts for several of Australia’s and New Zealand’s largest manufacturers and importers, DGL has Trans-Tasman capabilities for not only dangerous and hazardous goods but also food, pharmaceutical, temperature controlled, security sensitive and general goods.

DGL Environmental is a leading secondary lead recycler in Australia with EPA licenced recycling facilities located in New South Wales and Victoria. The state-of-the-art recycling facilities have a combined capacity to process up to 80,000 tonnes of end-of-life lead acid batteries per year. Without these facilities, end-of-life batteries would be disposed of in landfills creating undesirable environmental impacts from heavy metals and acid leaching into the soil.

Battery Recycling

DGL Environmental is proud of its contribution to the environment and a circular economy by ensuring over 95% of recovered material from its end of life batteries are reused in the manufacture of new batteries. By reusing materials from end-of-life batteries we help minimise environmental harm from demands on natural resources and mining activities.

Waste Treatment

DGL Environmental operate an industrial liquid waste treatment facility in New South Wales with 70 million litres of processing capacity. DGL is seeking to expand treatment capability to 200 million litres per year with plans to construct a new state-of-the-art facility on the same site. A Development Application is currently being prepared and it is anticipated the new plant will commence operation in 2021, pending Development Approval.
